issues.ng is a public platform for documenting, confirming and tracking specific problems affecting Nigerian communities.
Do I need an account to report an issue?
No. For the current version, you provide a public username and a private email address when submitting a report.
Will my email be shown publicly?
No. Your email is intended for private communication about your report and should not appear on the public issue page.
Does issues.ng verify every report before it appears?
No. A published report is a community submission, not automatic verification. Community confirmation and evidence can strengthen the public record.
What should I report?
Report a specific, observable, location-based community problem such as a damaged road, flooding, failed streetlights, uncollected waste, water problems or broken public infrastructure.
What should I not report?
Do not use issues.ng for personal disputes, harassment, ethnic or religious attacks, private personal information, or unsupported accusations against individuals.
Can I report an issue anywhere in Nigeria?
Yes. Reports can be submitted for Nigeria's states and the Federal Capital Territory, with the relevant local government area selected.
What do the statuses mean?
Reported means an issue has been submitted. Confirmed means it has received sufficient confirmation under the platform's confirmation process. In Progress means work or action has been documented. Resolved means the issue has been recorded as addressed.
Is issues.ng part of the government?
No. issues.ng is an independent platform and is not a government agency.
Is issues.ng affiliated with a political party or candidate?
No. The platform is designed to document community issues rather than campaign for political parties or candidates.
What happens after I submit?
Your issue receives a public page that can be shared. As the platform develops, community confirmations, evidence and status updates will help build a history around the issue.
Can a report be removed?
Reports may be reviewed or removed when they violate platform rules, expose private information, contain harassment or other prohibited content, or are otherwise inappropriate for the public record.
